Why indians love cricket.....???
The only reason for this is india got a player who changed the 'Game' and the people on a whole and he is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar!!!
1973 is a very significant year in sporting history. Not because Pakistan, New Zealand & West Indies made their debuts in Odi’s. Not just because Sir Richard Hadlee made his Test debut or Umpire H D “Dickie” Bird made his umpiring debut. Definitely not because NFL revolutionized sporting attire with the jersey numbering system, Neither was the 13th Europe Cup victory of AC Milan in Saloniki or the 2nd FA cup after world war-II victory of Sunderland as significant as was the birth of an icon.
24th April 1973 witnessed the birth of a genius who would then go on to become a sporting God & change the lives of billions across the globe. Its 37 years since the birth of Sachin Tendulkar and as the famous song from the group Europe goes” Things would never be the same again”
37 Years on, the “Little Master” has pulverized attacks, destroyed bowlers (and probably their careers along with it) and given headaches and heart breaks to many an opposition.
37 Years after 24th April 1973 and……………………………………………………….
1) Still Shane Warne doesn’t bowl & also doesn’t allow his kids to bowl to Sachin even in an EA Sports game on his Play station fearing that his kids would get the same Nightmare.
2) Michael Kasprowicz has made sure that he lives away from deserts because he can weather any storm but not the ‘’DESERT STORM’’.
3) Shoaib Akthar is still finding ways of how to not get selected into the Pakistani team after 1st March 2003 a day at ‘’The Centurion’’.
4) The cricketing world experienced a 2nd illegitimate underarm delivery bowled by another one of the Chappell brothers this time it was ‘’IAN’’ when he uttered a statement ‘’Sachin Tendulkar should retire’’.
5) After a long chase Punter has finally started finding references of different hospitals down under for finding a Wheel chair at the best & cheapest price!!!!!!
6) Surprisingly For the 1st time ever we are thankful to a person for not selecting ‘Sachin Tendulkar’, yes the person is ‘Dennis Lillee’………………
7) A worried Obama is still increasing his nuclear powers after watching this single Dynamite from India blow away multiple nations single handedly.
Abdul Qadir still visits the Peshawar Stadium daily in a hope that he might locate the 4 balls that went out of the park.
9) Michael Phelps has started practicing harder than before after watching the on field dives of Sachin Tendulkar.
10) Damien Fleming still considers his best birthday gift as his retirement because it makes sure that he doesn’t have to bowl to Sachin Tendulkar again on 24th April a day on which he was also born.
